Mission Statement
The mission of LVCC is to enhance the lives of students and families by improving their English and literacy skills which in turn enriches the community.
Organizational Overview
Since 1984, Literacy Volunteers of Collier County (LVCC), a 501c3 non-profit organization has been offering classes and one-to-one tutoring to adults who want to improve their reading, writing, and English-speaking skills. LVCC helps meet the challenges of Collier County’s growing non-English speaking population. LVCC also offers workplace literacy classes through local businesses and Citizenship classes for aspiring US citizens. LVCC is an accredited affiliate of ProLiteracy America. LVCC also supports children and family literacy programs through its Children and Parents Reading Together program (supporting CCPS Head Start programs) and Families Learning English. Working independently and with local partners, LVCC improves lives and enriches the community through education.
