The 501(c)(3) non-profit Friends of Rookery Bay supports education, conservation and research conducted at the 110,000-acre Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, which stretches from Keewaydin Island down to the western edge of the Everglades. Support for our coastal environment is provided through a volunteer recruitment program, outreach efforts, marketing, advocacy, and fundraising activities. Through these efforts, the Friends provide vital monetary and in-kind resources for Reserve programs and operations, including 4th and 7th grade environmental educational field trips and programming for Collier County students.
