Florida Lions Eye Clinic

The Florida Lions Eye Clinic's vision is to improve the quality of life for those who cannot afford eye care by providing exemplary and comprehensive vision care. The mission is to provide state-of-the-art medical and surgical eye care that is accessible to underserved individuals in Southwest Florida. All services provided are free to qualified patients. Patient comfort is a top priority for the Clinic. We serve patients from diverse backgrounds so cultural awareness and sensitivity are a key focus. Most of the staff is bilingual and can assist with translation and cultural awareness. n the recent past, the Clinic helped over 5,000 patients at no cost to them. In addition, over 300 eye surgeries were conducted at the Clinic, and hundreds were referred to outside surgery centers. Volunteer doctors—ophthalmologists and optometrists—throughout southwest Florida provided medical care, prescription drugs, and eyeglasses amounting to nearly $800,000 in free services.
