Organizational Overview
Wings of Shelter Int’l, Inc. (Wings) is a not-for-profit (501 c 3), faith-based agency, focused on the rescue and restoration of minor-females out of Human Trafficking, providing long-term Rehabilitation Safe Houses and Training. We focus on minor females that are Victims of Child Trafficking. Wings is a Florida DCF Licensed, Long-term Rehabilitation Safe House program, as well as, vetted by the FBI as a Child Witness Protection, (CSEC) Commercially Sexually Exploited Children group home. We utilize the (family model) with a Non-Punitive (Nero- Relational”) Program Model. Our girls are declared “Victims of Human Trafficking”, so we take extra precautions for “no child left alone policy (24-hour watch)” and a “non-punitive response to child behavior.” Our location is very sensitive, and therefore, is never given out to public or others who are not approved by Wings. We, also, provide extensive Training on Human Trafficking/Child Sex Trafficking to professionals and other Victim Service Agencies throughout the Nation. We train Law Enforcement, such as, FBI, ICE, Sheriff’s Officers, Police, additionally, Medical, Judicial, Educators, community organizations, etc. We train on our “Wings Non-Punitive Program Model” to others wanting to open Safe Houses, as well as, “What is happening inside of Trafficking and How to identify a child in Trafficking and best responses to minor females with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).”
