Mission Statement
Temple Shalom of Naples is an inclusive reform Jewish Congregation, affiliated with the Union of Reform Judaism, where all individuals are equal partners in making our world whole and holy. We are One Family, believing in the sacredness of relationships, fostering connections — one to another, with Temple, Israel, Torah and God. We are living Jewish values and nurturing future generations.
Organizational Overview
Temple Shalom is Collier County’s largest and oldest Jewish house of worship. Temple Shalom is led by a full-time Reform Senior Rabbi, a full-time Reform Rabbi Educator, a Cantor, an organist/choir director, and an Executive Director. In addition, the Temple employs many Religious School and Preschool teachers, administrative staff, building management and custodians. Temple Shalom offers educational programs, religious and spiritual services and social programs to the community. In 2017, Temple Shalom embraced a new model of membership and financial support. This pledge system replaces the more traditional membership fee structure, and acknowledges our ancient tradition of giving from the heart, assuring that finances are never a barrier to participation for our members, whether singles, couples, retirees or families. Since 2017, Temple Shalom has welcomed more than 300 new members, bringing the total membership to 770 singles and families. We believe this continuing growth is a testament to the uplifting and inspirational leadership of our clergy, and our welcoming and inclusive approach to all those who seek to be part of our spiritual community and join in our efforts to build a community based on love, peace and justice.
