Mission Statement

Parkinson’s Association of Southwest Florida, Inc. provides proven and effective programs and services that improve quality of life, educate, enrich, and empower people affected by Parkinson’s Disease and related neurological diseases.

Organizational Overview

Every 9 minutes, someone is diagnosed with PD. The Association provides services and programs to help people live well with PD from diagnosis through progression of the disease. Research demonstrates that movement and exercise slow the disease’s progression. We host 20+ weekly movement, exercise, speech, music, improve and support programs. Certified professionals lead the vast majority of our sessions, which are currently on Zoom. These are free to members and membership is free! Just sign up on our website www.ParkinsonAssociationSWFL.org. Virtual programming allows our part time residents to remain connected and active with us when traveling. We provide weekly PD Talks, education programs delivered by leading PD experts from around the country. They address the latest research, developments and treatments for the disease.
