The Music Foundation of Greater Naples was incorporated 55 years ago as the Naples Music Club. Members formed small ensembles and performed solos for each other. In the late 70’s they started supporting the Collier County Public School music program providing scholarships to recognize talented students. Starting in 2006, instrumental outreach programs were established to support talented students who showed interest in learning to play music but were unable to afford the cost of lessons. Currently MFGN oversees five outreach programs in addition to the scholarship program. There are also adult groups that meet regularly to share their talents with each other. The board is an all volunteer working board. The board members oversee the student programs, adult performing groups, plan concerts and fundraisers.
