Mission Statement

As a faith-based organization, it is the mission of Midwest Food Bank to share the love of Christ by alleviating hunger and malnutrition locally and throughout the world and providing disaster relief; all without discrimination. Our vision is to provide industry-leading food relief to those in need while feeding them spiritually.

Organizational Overview

MFB Florida provides food & disaster relief to those in need. We take $1 dollar & turn it into $34 worth of food. Ensuring 99% of all funds go directly to our food relief programs. We rescue food from large, nationwide food distributors & donate it 100% free to our 172 nonprofit partner agencies we support (churches, schools, veteran supports, mobile pantries, soup kitchens) across 39 counties in Florida. Bridging the gap between those with excess and those with none. In 2020, we rescued and donated over $52million dollars worth of food, feeding 2.4million hungry Florida individuals. We rely 100% of donations, grant support and community partnerships to execute and expand our mission, and battle hunger in our community.
