Most families no longer sit at the evening dinner table together. This means that parents and grandparents no longer have this opportunity to teach important social skills and manners to their children or grandchildren. We know that young children who have more developed social compentence skills are more likely to live healthier, successful lives as adults--through the education and jobs they attain and their overall quality of life.
