Freedom Waters Foundation

Originally focused on serving children with cancer, Freedom Waters Foundation has expanded to meet the needs of children and adults with life threatening illnesses and disabilities, at-risk youth as well as veterans. We provide our services by partnering with numerous private and commercial boat owners who donate the use of their vessel and crew to provide these therapeutic boat outings for our participants and their family members. We serve numerous referrals from over 50 social service community agencies, including: Children’s Hospitals, Vet Centers and many others.

In 2019, with just three full time employees and over 300 volunteers, Freedom Waters Foundation provided over 3500 on the water experiences.

Funding is primarily through our Kind Mariners Ball, private donations and grants, all for which we are so grateful.

We also We operate in Collier, Lee, Palm Beach and Broward counties of Florida. We live by “Making it Happen – for others, building a greater sense of community, understanding and celebration of all humans.
