Feed Thy Neighbor

Mission Statement

Feed Thy Neighbor, Inc. was formed to alleviate hunger through the gathering and distribution of food and prepared meals. We do not want anyone, especially children, to go to bed hungry regardless of their circumstances.

Organizational Overview

I am a 76-year-old combat disabled veteran with a strong business background. Previously I served for 12 years on the board of directors of Nicaea Academy and have always volunteered for nonprofits. Feed Thy Neighbor, Inc. is a home grown Collier County Florida non-profit that was started at the beginning of the Covid19 pandemic. Realizing from the start I would need a board to help me build a real organization so I took people who could contribute intellectually. They were, Rob Sanchez JD, who became our secretary, Dominic Lucarelli JD vice president and Mark Batchelor treasurer. All had an abundance of previous public service experience. It is with this team plus one hundred volunteers that delivers nutritious meals directly to the homeless five days a week, including all holidays, which we built from twenty to over three hundred plates a day.
