Organizational Overview

Since 1992, Collier Harvest has distributed more than 19 million pounds of food. That is equivalent to 15 million meals provided for hunger relief. We work with 40 local non profit agencies, as well as three title 1 schools to supply staple food items to those in need in our community. We use monetary donations to purchase specific food needs by shopping locally and finding the best ways to save money. These savings allow us to create meals at an average cost of just .93 cents a meal. Meals are nutritionally balanced and contain a protein, starch vegetable or fruit. Many of our agencies and the title 1 schools we partner with are in the communities they serve. They know their neighbors and can reach people that are at times overlooked, people that can not make it to a food bank or other food sources.
