Fair means clean, safe working conditions, no exposure to dangerous pesticides, clean water to drink for adequate hydration, rest breaks to provide shade from relentless sunshine, wages that allow for a living wage, no wage theft, clean housing, protections according to CDC guidelines during global pandemics, and a voice in the work place.

The innovative model of Worker-driven Social Responsibility (WSR), created by the CIW, was selected in 2020, through a ten year study at Harvard University, the Multi-Stake Holder Integrity Initiative, as the “gold standard” of social responsibility, on an international level.
