Organizational Overview
CCDOV has been a trusted community partner in the 10 Southwest Florida counties which make up the Diocese of Venice for over 38 years. The agency has a portfolio of 36 programs which offer a range of social services that address both immediate needs and empower individuals and families to gain self-sufficiency. Programs include: Housing, Mental Health, Youth Programs, Emergency Assistance/Financial Assistance, Anti-Human Trafficking, Anti-poverty, Economic Empowerment, financial stability i.e. financial literacy, and housing counseling. Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice provides approximately 208,500 services annually. Assistance is targeted to the most vulnerable populations including; seniors, low income families, recent immigrants, victims of human trafficking, and others. 65% of those served are women, 55% are Hispanic and 36% are children.
Statement of Need
In Collier County, Catholic Charities is serving the needs of seniors, food insecure households, low income families and children and families in need of mental health counseling.
