Books for Collier Kids gives a steady supply of new books to disadvantaged young children so that they can learn to read and then read to learn. Books for Collier Kids was founded in 2005 with a simple mission: give books to children in Pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, first- and second-grade in the Title I elementary schools in Collier County, for them to take home, share and cherish. Since 2005, BCK has given over 1.1 MILLION new, high-quality, age- and curriculum appropriate books to children of low-income families--right here in Collier County.
